To my left I hold my dignity
And to my right I hide my shame
In between them I sit
And wonder what to claim
I ponder life philosophies
And dignity speaks
She cries for proper standing
And all things done morally
I listened to her year by year
The people around me agreed
A proper lady never spoke
About such things as nudity
But how often these thoughts clouded me
And how often I had buried them
To the point I awoke to realize
My dignity had been shrouded
I was not afraid of this
I was quite relieved
To feel the freedom of my body
Released from all the things I could never believe
To my left I hold my dignity
And to my right I hide my shame
In between them I sit
And wonder what to claim
I have chosen that it does not matter
Who I show to you
Because I have come to realize
All three me's are all three you's
