shattered thought
and screams of pain-
frozen time
and screams of pain-
frozen time
Author notes
This is what I thought of when I remembered a friend in class, who's fiance was stationed there. 2 days later she found out that he had to deliver something to another office and missed the hit by 1hr. But her face as she watched the TV, will never leave my thoughts. I saw her a year ago and she now has 3 sons.

A very deep and powerful haiku. Glad to know that she's doing ok and has the three sons.

Uniquely powerful write. After reading your author's notes I am glad for her. Thank you for your entry.

Wow. Powerful and brief, a great example of the traditional haiku. You are one of the best haiku writers I know, I think! The last line is especially strong. The simplicity yet fear really has a good impact. Best of luck in the contest! Good job, auntie!
