If your conscience lied,
would the trigger beneath your tongue
allow such carelessly crafted words?

First off, I love the title! I would love a bit of an explanation. But the words fit together nicely in my mouth and I like that.
Thanks for entering! (goodluck)

I hope that made sense.

Basically it means if everything you thought was right was wrong and vice versa, you'd be at a loss for words and advice [If your conscience lied,]
and you'd have very little to say about anything. If you did say anything, would you be simply shooting yourself down and making a fool of yourself by saying these meaningless things, due to the loss of your conscience?

Oooh, this is brilliant ! I loved it. It's a very VERY catching question, and I love how you phrased & wrote everything. Good luck in the contest
