Silent prelude.

Missing image
Watching with baited breath,
the dew rise, from the silent fields.

Dawn lifts her sleepy head over
purple tipped mountains.

Nature crawls back to burrows
deep, to sleep.

As the warmth seeps slowly,
so too, the joy of another day.

Hedgerows, crammed with Blackberries,
ripe for the picking.

Cheeky Magpies, stealing apples
high up in trees.

Noise disturbes this peaceful scene,
a chugging tractor, heard now seen.

As timid lambs come close for food,
he hands it out, they know him well.

Sipping slow, the brew of comfort,
I ponder...life is complete..

It is so nice to find that peace in nature... it has been ... hard for me to find lately, unfortunately.

what a beautiful scribe, my friend.
