From the yester years
Eyes watch a classic movie
Time stands still
As years pass by
Wrinkles of life’s turmoil are designed
Wisdom shines on the forehead
Hidden smiling tears in beard
Reminiscent thoughts travel
Through the lanes of old mind
Freckles of hardships sparkle
Lines of worries surround the eyes
Mind tired is still over working
Wandering wondering feelings
Laugh at the present
As spirits of yesterday dance
Under the hood
Inside the wet suit
Sitting at the corner of park’s bench
Seeking answers to confusing questions
Wrapped in the silks of aspirations
Life though has lived a lifetime
Some dreams once forgotten
Few lost on the streets
Still are playing their games
In the palms of fragile hands
As he watches his now
A future in young crowd
He wonders if he’s missed the train
Sitting in the last car
Days are dimming lights
Evenings are soft lights
Moon is phasing down
Is this the last destination?
Thought crosses the mind
With long heavy sigh
He watches the reruns
Of his classic movie
Stop, rewind and play again
Until it’s time to walk on the other side
…Don’t worry, be happy
Radio plays the forgotten song
