Freedom in Tears

Cry, dear friends, cry happy tears,
And let them carry all your fears.
That which has haunted you through the years
Can now be free to fly.

As the teardrops hit the ground
Your wondrous freedom, so newly found
Spins and spins, round and round
And you let out a sigh.

Now that you know what it is to be free
Will you ever go back to that misery?
And now, my friends, do you see
Why I tell you to cry?

Author notes

This was really random, and I don't know what inspired me, as this is so far from who I normally am, but despite this, bashing would still be very much unappreciated. If you have anything good at all to say about this poem, or any ideas as to how it could be improved, please, please leave a comment. Otherwise I will never get better.

Nicely rhymed and a lovely well thought out developing final line that carries the theme strongly, thank-you for the entry.

This is quite an inspirational piece, well expressed. I especially like the lines about happy tears carrying "all your fears."
