Under mountains formed by twisted plates, in a city called Geneva,
behold the latest human quest, inspired by Black Hole fever.
The Large Hadron Collider, or LHC for short,
will create a vibrant complex, in which protons can convort.
Many types of magnet, too many for me to mention,
will fling our hapless protons, in every known direction.
Kinetic Energy will be there quest, with it they will collide,
then be measured by mathematics, some of them applied.
A Proton Synchrotron Booster, WOW, there's a clever name,
projects at 1.4 G.E.V., will things remain the same ?
Its utmost goal, Higgs boson, some say the mising link,
the proof of our creation, that really makes me think.
While sceptics shout and people frown, at what this all might show,
think of our particle accelerator, so many miles below.
There's just one thing I think of, with all this sci-fi slang,
what happens if it all goes wrong and everyone goes BANG !!

Haha, I'm liking the humor you put to the LHC. Even if, as some others have commented, we're not really at that much risk of going BANG, it's a an amusing sentiment and one felt by many, many others around the world.
Thanks for entering!

Of course any black holes we created would be smaller than an atom at take billions of years to swallow the Earth if they didn't explode in Hawking radiation first ...
Geekiness done now
I can look at a great fun poem, with some wonderfully inventive rhyming!
Thanks for the entry and good luck

actually, we wouldnt go bang. we'd actually make no noise whatsoever, being that our sound waves would be trapped inside the gravitational pull of said black hole
teehee
thanks for the write best of luckk!
