Cutting

Tears run down her face,
As memories flash back.
Each tear tells a story,
Of her life like a railroad track.

She bends her arm down,
Glares at the spot.
She knows what she wants to do next,
Its like an impulse a sudden shock.

Too late she done it,
The river starts to drip.
Relief pained on her face,
As she drops the razor blade tip.

She broke her promise,
Over a sudden urge.
Arm covered in blood,
As her promise is emereged.

'I promise i will try not too'.

Author notes

Everyone says that cutting is for attention, But how would they know?
Its like a sudden relief of pain and eanger and an easy solution of releasing all of the bottled up pain inside.
Your bodys goes numb and it doesnt hurt but afterwards yo feel relieved.
Dont ever judge anyone on what they do, because for everything someone does there is a reason for it.
Life isnt easy and some people do cut themselfs... Its just life.

I can relate to this, I am a recovering cutter myself. Everyday is a struggle to fight the urge. Yes alot of people do believe that cutting is for attention but those who believe that are ignorant to the subject of cutting .

Thank you for entering in my contest. I think that this poem is very well written. It is exactly what I was looking for. I don't think it's right people judge people just because they cut themselves. You don't know what it's like until you been there. Great job of expressing that. Good luck.
