True Strength

It takes strength
to build up your courage
and stand for what's right.

It takes strength
to stare down your demons
and face the enemy within.

It takes strength
to beat back the hatred
when you have been wronged.

It takes strength
to deal with the pain
when you have been abused.

It takes strength
to stand proud
in the face of prejudice.

But no amount of strength
can change another's mind
or soften their heart.

Only love can do that.

    Great poem

    Loved the whole poem thelast stanza and the last line really stood out to me:
    But no amount of strength
    can change another's mind
    or soften their heart.

    Only love can do that.

    For me it's the love of GOD.
