looks so peaceful and angelic
I've never been able to tell you
how I feel about you
just how much I care

while you're awake
I like the way we are together
all the things we do
and how we talk
I don't want to ruin that
so I pretend the feelings are fake
but when we're like this
I feel less afraid to confess my love for you
I gently caress your sleeping face and smile
feeling your arms wrap around my holding me near
I wish we could always be this way
Maybe one day
things will change
and this friendship will develop into something more
but until then I'll lay beside you
confessing my feelings to you as you sleep
cuz secretly I know you're listening
that's why you smile as you sleep
