Sun leaves hemisphere
to fend for itself,
Darkness dispelled
by luminous Moon
Moon borrows light
shed it on earth,
Rescue world
plunged into darkness
Sun's light bright
Moon's light soothing
Lovers take shelter
poets strike thoughts.
planets move around Sun
but moon around earth,
Guards it against dark
though light uneven
for fifteen days.
Moon pulls up waves
governs moods,
Inside workings attributed
more to full and new moon,
Than to any astral body

prompt 3:
"Most people want to be the sun that brightens up your life, but I'd rather be the moon that shines down on you in your darkest hours."-Unknown

Your analysis leads your thoughts to new and interesting ideas. I love the moon, and I am often more fascinated to see it by day than by night. It is always there for half the day, whether we see it or not - the amount of light reflected from it inspires more poetry than rationality!
I like your poem, best of luck!
