Your right over there
Just beyond the crest
Of that lonely hill
On this plain of dust
I am watching this dusk
Far away from you
Watching the setting sun in particles
Around you
That the winds just won’t let settle
I am wanting you
There was a spring
Not long gone yet
When I held your hand
We promised we would never forget
But there you are
From me oh so far
Just free
Of my hands
And I am in two pieces
As mismatched as opposites
You should watch me walk
Shambling, and drinking as I ramble
About nothing,
About how love is a gamble
But it isn’t
It’s painful, and malicious
And strange, yet delicious
Thinking we had a connection
Through touches and wet erections
It a moment of plummeting
I feel rage
This sour poison
Is rotting in my heart
My heart in a cage
The better half of it you tore away
And I hate you for what you did to me that day
How long is the half-life
Of a heart
How far away can you stay
That I can’t rip you apart
