How it Is

In
The firelight
My fingertips
Follow the
Shape of your face
Every angle
Every line
Every story
Written
I kiss each one
Until I reach
Your soul
Glistens
As your mouth
Speaks in tongues
Upon my body
While
Your hands
Touch mine
Soft and hard
Pulling me in
The silence
Is thunder
And lightening
Without
The storm
As my hands
Reach up
To coax your face
Down
I offer my mouth
For your
Consecration
Your
Tongue
Paints
Your
Blessing
As you
Rain
Colors
All over me
My flowers bloom
For You
For all
The world
To see

I find it very interesting the influx of new reads on this one... and the lovely youth of some of my commentators...thank you all for your comments, I very much appreciate them.

And yes, I loved this person very much...

I am glad that you can see that sexual intimacy is not solely the act of sex itself (altho’ that is an important part of it)... it is also about sharing… a giving and taking that through expressing need and vulnerability can be very healing and uplifting.

the amount of love in here is huge. It didn't make me cringe like these sorts of poems usually do - in fact I found it sweet (: beautiful (:

  • AMAZING

    Beautiful

I feel this poem allows the reader to understand the vulnerability one allows to themselves as facing the daunting task of revealing their depths openly to another..

    Good stuff.
