I was a beautiful angel
with perfectly white wings and even had a halo that
rested upon my head-
Then I met you and instantly that halo was gone
and my wings started failing me.
I was falling and didn't realize how quickly
until you said we weren't working out.
I quickly found my entire life ruined-
before I met you, I was perfectly dandy
then when you leave me,
I find myself completely at the bottom unable
to climb to the top because my wings no longer work
and my halo no longer remains.
Realizing now I'm only as beautiful as I make
myself and I'm no longer an angel
I only have the wings because you took everything
from me but my wings
Because they wouldn't get you anywhere.
Author notes
This is about something that happened before I moved and it kind of has a bunch of different meanings, you could look at it in many different ways. It's obviously about a guy and a break-up but it's up to you to decide how you want to interperet it. I don't think anyone could be wrong because, like I said, it has a lot of different meanings.
