I’ve wrest away those remnants that still itch
and have trampled those moments that seemed well wrought;
While you mingle tantrums with tirades,
love harasses me to try and work this one out.
Lascivious desires now continue to writhe;
Because for all the vagaries I gave, you made me look like a twit.
While you dawdle into the midst of haziness, my body twinges;
Cycles of thought grow quiescent; you’re the sequel to my never ending.
(The tragedy I never wanted to usurp)
The scene goes forward then retracts in contempt,
when I remember the preposterous wars we shared.
At the end, it all became peripheral
For certain feelings you couldn’t convey.
Actor in strife, joker of the sequel with yellowed tusks,
Shambles underneath harlequin masks;
With a tedious appearance role-playing Adonis
But you know you’ll never gain the sequel in this tragedy.
Decayed failure carrying a heart made of resorcinol,
Also praying for amenities to come crashing by,
When will you understand, I will always be there?
Will you ever put aside your arrogance?
There’s no beauty to circumscribe when the end dangles over your head;
You scorn the point that I’m your sequel and you’re my never-ending
Because you hate to be reminded that all you feel is synthetic;
When you thought you could rove and rant I made you my protagonist.
(And in my movie you’re the sequel to my never ending {tragedy})

Terrific word usage
It makes for some great imagery
Overall, this is a fabulous piece
Best of luck in the contest -
Very nice take on the title prompt. Sequals are never as good as the original.
I see a growing depth and complexity to your work. Your verses are tighter and your vocabulary is expanding.
Great job.
Mike
