Sweet and Bitter Medusa

beast of hells charm....

Seductress and stone hedge.

Keeper of cold and blood-less hearts.

It has been centuries

since our paths have crossed.

AND now...you plead...unto

Lair of Dragon seeking

refuge and mercy.

I see through thee...

your plot and disception,

hungering for treasures

of eternal dragon power.

Whatever glare or beauty

you transform;

I promise thee,

the Lair of Dragon you will

humbly serve,

not rule as Evils Queen!

hisssss and spit...

spit and hissssss...

you have under-estimated

the bold dragon hearts!

tempt all you wish...

Medusa,

keeper of cold and blood-less

hearts.

Many

Medusa's in life

we are challenged to encounter.

Look away...do not dare to gaze

lest your heart be cast into stone.

Her capture is underway. Tomorrow it will be complete.

You use subtleties well in your writing. "Thought-less" hearts is an insight into a cleft between heart and mind that should not be there, yet nobody notices it is not.

Nice conclusion to this poem. It leaves room for more dragons to soar. And they will.
