What pleasure would there be in sunlight?
What peace could be found in a night's sleep?
What sense to laughter unshared of delight?
What reason for tears shed unheard so deep?
Why would songs of passionate emotions,
when unshared mean much of anything?
Where and with whom would life truly matter?
Why and to who could anyone sing?
Who would I be asking of this question?
Why would it matter if no one's there?
When loving someone is my only bastillon?
Then I'm living loving that your here!

A most wonderful and beautiful take on the quote

You ask some very valid questions in your piece for if one has not love, then what's it all for?
Thank you for sharing this!
All the best to you! -
BEAUTIFUL!!!
There comes to mind the old saying, one must first love themselves before they can love another. Wonderful poem!

Thanks Puppy for reading and commenting so generously. That's true. But it would be for naught,if no one was with you to observe, relish and be amazed. Would it not?
