The screams echo far and wide
But there is no one left
The world has become desolate
Only the masks they had remain
Time keeps on ticking
It never ceases
Yet there is no one that it effects
So it works hard but fails
Death sits on time
Waiting for a nibble in the empty world
It's hoping time will find someone
Give him a little nudge
But time can't touch these soulless beings
And so death is starving
Becoming as small and obsolete as time
Working hard for nothing
The clock keeps ticking
Death keeps lurking
Screams still move through the wind
But the earth is gone, only empty masks remain
Author notes
At first I couldn't think of anything and then it just came to me, thanks for the pic prompt.
