Lost Without You

I've become like a wilted rose
longing for the rays of the sun
in a zestless winter

I still yearn the return
of the one whom I dearly miss
This insatiable heart
longs to see
the day when she might return to me

She was the marrow of my heart
the essence of my soul
who brought forth a ray of light
the aura
that illuminated my path

Sweet. The words used were simple, the imagery was brilliant, again the feel was sad..but nevertheless an excellent write that touched my soul immediately.

Wonderful use poetic craft in this. The images are clear and leave the reader caught to look at desires who long to see. Great line-She is the marrow of my heart. The read is absorbed by the heart. Great read.

Lovely use of language to covey your longing thoughts. The rose wilted from the deprivation of her light, seen through a cold winter. Very nice...alby
