It takes something that words cannot express.
This something takes upon itself duress.
A case of simplicity this does not possess.
When one discovers the luxury of its domain
one will surrender everything so as to gain.
It goes without saying one won't stay the same.
How alterable is a chance encounter worth?
Enough to effect a new, awesome kind of birth.
The entry of which entails a fresh merry mirth.
If packaged, one would pay their all for this
but too often, one takes it improperly amiss
Thwarting all of its refined, featured bliss.
This something takes upon itself duress.
A case of simplicity this does not possess.
When one discovers the luxury of its domain
one will surrender everything so as to gain.
It goes without saying one won't stay the same.
How alterable is a chance encounter worth?

Thwarting all of its refined, featured bliss.
Author notes
Great is the power of might and mind
But only love can make us kind
And all we are and hope to be
Is empty pride and vanilty
And if love is not a part of all
The greatest man is very small

Lovely thoughts and reflection on the target poem, I like the mono rhyme in these three line stanzas, very effective. Thanks for sharing, good luck in the contest.
