Meditation 17 ( I thought I knew)

Missing image

I have heard tell of flame;
its temperature,
its chemicophysical interaction,
its reaction as fuel in combustion.

I thought I knew flame,
until I saw its dance,
with my own eyes;
watched its strength
to convert water to steam,
change elements in combinations,
devour vast forests and dreams.

Fear, keeps my hand away;
the heat and brilliant light
illuminates and warms my body.
But I will not truly know flame,
until it consumes my soul;
when I, with bare feet, walk
into the burning bush.

    Beautifully expressed. It creates a warm feeling inside. Still I'm unsure why you'd walk into the burning bush? Maybe it's just me. Thanks for sharing this wonderful write. Rose
