At your tiny grave.
Like I do every week.
Trying to be brave.
Little under a year.
Since you were taken away.

Three months of life.
An eternity of grief.
Never would have thought
That death would be a thief.
You'll never say a single word.
Never get your first tooth.
Never take your first step.
Impossibly hard to accept this truth.
I feel like I was cheated.
I never got to know
Anything about you
Before you had to go.

Your little nursery room
Remains exactly the same.
I'm having problems letting go.
I miss you everyday.
I think Im slowly drowning
Rotting in dismay.
I love you, little girl.

It may takes many years.
And their may be others like you.
But I will meet you in heaven.

Amazing heart felt poem, and very sad too. Sometimes great poetry can come out of a tragedy such as protrayed here. The little girl is at peace now, but her spirit lives on within this beautiful poem. Congratulations on the silver, and thanks for sharing.
