(A tribute to) Ardent March

I myself Ardent

will show you:

this woman

I'd like to be shown

all tastes arranged

superb colours distinct

let them mix

into moves of gold

for stir made crazy

life reaches above

for more

new and before unknown.

Let showing you how

to show me

not kill mystery

stopped dead in the obvious

so lightly to share

sunken deeper down

into depths

under enlivened ultramarine

against the bright

resplendent words

of affair's neat ochre'd warmth

scent scattered

across our surface

seen crimsoned in heat

intimate royal purples

gleaned from special air

treasures so ripe to steal

so taken this white generosity

bidden so

generously begging

both ankles indulgently bitten

just as man desired

to ask for

the gift of

those eagle-wings

awarded inside

these garden gates

compelled to properly meet.

Author notes

Inspired by the poetry of ardentMarch, which I wasn't familiar with until responding to this contest. Very glad now that I did... can only hope that she might be also ... and if not, please help me!

Inspirations included the reading of:
wildflowers
the move
after the last chance
savoring a poem
beautiful man
urgency
cloud

I love that you chose someone who was unfamiliar to you, and you wrote beautifully for her as well Thanks so much for this inspiring entry, and for taking on the challenge of something/someone new.

While reading this poem, I feel each emotion/mood I had while writing each of the poems that inspired you while writing this one ..lol...I hope that makes sense,- I find that so interesting..this is beautiful & colorful, Sol, thank you so much, a perfect poem to read the first day of autumn, it has a little bit of each color, and a little bit of every mood.

    "against the bright
    resplendent words
    of affair's neat ochre'd warmth
    scent scattered
    across our surface"
