To love and be loved, such a joyous impression,
An eternal companionship, an endless expression.
It’s a glimmer of hope to all who behold it,
For this undying love we strive commit.
To have love and lost, it’s the fear we all dread,
Some lucky ones survive, their heart having never bled.
We all fear this notion, for heartbreak is misery,
Only amplified by sorrow of lacking good company.
At times it’s unseen, the breaking of such connection,
And nothing hurts more than utter rejection.
But otherwise it inevitable, the separation of such lovers,
As contention seems to plague their countless endeavors.
So the question remains, is it worth the great strain,
For losing one’s love brings an insurmountable pain.
I can see my own relationship just dying away,
Now the end draws near, why must I see that day?

I loved your rhyme in this, I think it flowed really really well, and didn't seem forced at all.
I thought your beginning and ending were especially strong, and your ending especially, had such a sad tone coming from it
thanks for entering
