And there
You'll cradle me
Making all my fears just fall away
Let me listen to your heart
Thump-thump
As my head is on your chest
And I will write a song to its powerful beat
Let us forget all the worries
Of living
And we'll sit together
Lauging all our pains away
Let us ignore the voices of others
Talking, talking
And pointing their fingers our way
We know we're above them all
Let us put others between us
Pretending, believing
That we hate the image of us
In each other's eyes
Let me spill the truth
Love and loath
You'll never see me the same again
But friendship is always so much better, right?
Let me take your hands
Strong, soft
To hold me up on my feet as I race
Through the horror of this life
Let me tell you everything
Muttering words
That you've waited for me to say to you
But I promise I won't let them mean a thing
Author notes
I think I did this one in five minutes. That's got to be a new record. xD Comments are loved!
Dec. 24, 2008: I remember exactly who this one is about. Geez, I feaking captured every aspect of what was going on. It started off so perfect, like nothing could compare to it. And then everything started to go downhill. We hated each other, dated other people, but couldn't help but tell one another what we still felt. I'm sort of glad that I didn't give it another shot. He's better off, I think. You know that saying, "never take what you can't handle?" Well...I'm far too much trouble.
Please tell me what you think
