One Last Goodbye

Tendered touches evolving this phase
But yet it is scarcely what I seek.
To lay down soft warm lips on another’s
Does not give me what I require.

Your heart already burns with passion
While my heart is scorned by coldness.
What I desire, you won’t give to me,
But my search has not perished yet.

As I gently caress your neck,
Cold fingertips usurping your flesh,
Breath roves and roams,
I can feel your body tremble.

Urgently holding you as we sway,
A puppet in control,
Thirst now begins to arise;
while I take your breath away.

I bring you nearer as I sink my fangs deeper
Into your flesh, lascivious thoughts now consume my mind.
Swathing arms curled unto your small silhouette.
And to accompany this deadly embrace,
we must have your one last dance.

Author notes

The title was song inspired and well I did my best with the prompt. Hope you like!

hmmm let's see. Well since Christopher Pike is one of my favorite writers, see if you can use this. Describe what this means to you: "-kissing a vampire is not like kissing a mortal." - The Last Vampire by Christopher Pike. Make sure you are clear about your opinion and good luck in the contest!
