There is a feeling that I get,
when thinking of this place.
Every time I turn around,
I can see it in their face.
The children are hungry,
and their parents are too weak.
They can't work for food,
and their is no where to sleep.
Disease keeps on spreading,
like there is no tomorrow.
I can see it in their eyes,
I can see their sorrows.
We should make a donation,
or call someone.
We should help them get better,
and there country become one.
We should give them what we have,
education, love and health,
love is most important,
it really make the wealth.
So when you see that commercial,
when you're watching T.V.
please pick up the phone,
and call somebody.

It is a novel idea, sadly these donation places take a large portion of the donation to "fund their cause" you can ask them how much actually goes to the people in need and they are required to tell you that so my advice to to shop around to find which send the largest amount to the poor. Nice write, good rhyming here.

I think we are all desensitized to seeing those images on TV and its good when someone reminds us that they are real and that there is something we can do about it. Well done, clever rhymes too.

terrific
dear poet, your poem nearly moved me to tears because i also have the same feeling. And it is good for those of us who are touched by the poem to take action. It is a very good poem and i love it. I also have a similar poem entitled "hope".

A noble though dear poet and yes we should do what we can but government are NOT doing what they should they are the ones we need to goad as they have the power to stop much of the poverty in the world...a wonderfully caring and passionate write dear poet

From this piece I can see that you are very passionate about this. The hunger the disease that plagues those who cannot help themselves is too rampant to comprehend. Try what we may it still will not be enough. For greed will take and give nothing back. Wonderful write. Excellent. Thank you.
