To really love is harder than people think.
Real love requires that we not lie to people,
not deceive, not assume unjustly about another person,
to be understanding, be forgiving of others mistakes,
be enduring when someone is behaving irrationally
(not referring to abuse).
Real love requires self-control on our part.
Yet many of us are leaving our marriage mate for someone else, why?
Is that truly love?
Infatuation and love are often confused with each other.
And love has many meanings.
But love for people, there's only one kind of love for people,
this requires all of the above.
Agape, study it.
Then love will no longer be a mystery.
Oh, also, real love requires humility, meaning shutting our own mouths when we've been told too. I know we're all stuborn to some extent, but you know what? This just proves (to me at least) that love is not an easy thing to practice.
