When looking for the other half,
the missing side of you
You must look deep in their eyes,
seeing if their heart is true
It seems there’s two of everything,
the trick is you must find
The piece that fits inside of you,
that finishes your mind
When you’ve found that missing piece,
together you are whole
But when their away you’re missing more,
you’re only half a soul
The time away breeds discontent,
you pray to hear the phone
Just to hear that friendly voice,
says you no longer are alone
Rush to the phone you’ve missed their call,
the voice rings in your ear
It’s not the same your hearts in pain,
and tears start to appear
The long way home it hurt them too,
as hours turn into days
Longing to be whole again,
creates a deafening haze
Streets greet you home you’re filled with joy,
you’ll sleep like you are dead
It’s not that just your heart is healed,
you’re whole inside your head
