The Butterfly Effect

'Exerileration equivalent to ecstasy.
Adrenaline adamant in absolutism.'

My thoughts turn to a poetic style
as I stand over this enchanting vastness.
Sorcerer of extraordinary mental prowess-
messenger of revolutionary ideas.

'Sinking or swimming, rising or falling?
Take this chance or become forgotten.'

Waves of shock coarse through my soul,
my veins strain with excess blood flow.
Each and every part is running too fast:
things are working of their own accord.

'Am I staying behind, or am I going to fly?
This is your chance now. Understand this!'

I'm begining to see the light;
I'm starting to know what this means.
Crystallizing into a manifest clarity:
metamorphosing for tangible reality.

'I know what it means to be this.
I understand what I am supposed to become.'

The butterfly effect maybe?
Spend your whole life crawling on the ground,
only to change into someone beautiful.
Someone amazing that knows how to fly.
The something you were always meant to be.

Author notes

Anything in these -> 'Example' <- Were meant to be the thoughts immediate of the person portrayed in the poem. Mmkays? Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this. It was rather fun to write.

I just had an idea and I ran with it.

Love your idea of a butterfly effect. Afterall, there is much truth in this. Loved the lines about crawling on the ground first - yeah - so true. Can't wait to stand, and then perhaps, fly as your poem gives suggestion to. I think you may mean exhilaration in line 1.
