assaults my nostrils like vomit saturated feces.
The damaged porcelain clown
I received last Christmas
stands vigilant watch from amongst its perch
mocking me with its pervert grin.

A mushy fancy of a white picket fence future
soaks into my scalp
contradicting the hard-edges
found in eyes too old.
Candy-coated fairy tales
wash down the shower drain
unlike the memories of eccentric love
received from the tooth fairy.

Realizing a rumble is issuing forth from my stomach
I muse aloud how I will spread my dreams
like icing on bread
eating them for dinner.
Maybe then the discontent
growing in the pit of my stomach
will finally be quiet.

Pulling back the curtain
I stand dripping before the depraved clown
as an insane bubbly laugh erupts.
