I purged
my tears
when your mouth
shapedsongs
of the sinking ethos;
ancient languages.
I heard
thunders were riddles
told;
to make us smile like
chimpanzees
and tangle
the climbers
of our thoughts like
tropical forests
with drumbeating
inside.
we saw
one night
how storms
and lightning
made erotic
and shameless attempts
for each other
we tried not to blink
in that madness
we just stared.
Author notes
jhor= storm in bengali.
prompt: chimpanzees who smile to express fear.
