Until the scent
of something better

Others importance
stretches….
that bit further
into the upwardly
mobile field
and you suddenly
find yourself
left behind
in losers ditch.

i saw an interview with sharon stone once. she was talking about her ex-husband (the first one) and explaining how their relationaship deteriorated. she said, 'the more of myself i revealed to him, the more horrified he became.' i thought that was hillarious - i have felt that way before, too, in a relationship. the first part of this poem reminded me of that feeling. well captured. - NANGALEEMA
