I love you dear Kate

I weep in the dark,
for all of those lost,
my life's not the same,
it's covered in frost.

All those I loved,
including dear Kate,
are now long gone,
and I'm filled with hate.

They came to this land,
and ate all our food,
called us savages,
acted so rude.

I wanted them to pay,
but now I'm tired and worn,
I just want peace,
and time to mourn.

No more bloodshed,
and no more tears,
they can take the land,
that we've had all these years.

For it won't be me,
and it won't be you,
that makes their world fall,
becoming so blue.

They will bring it themselves,
with their terrible ways,
Great Spirit will have them,
pay within days.

I love you dear Kate,
please know I do,
and when the day comes,
I'll fly up to you.
