I watch the rain drops sliding down an icy pane as I let the thoughts
sift through the cumulous clouds inside my mind.
Drip, drop, drip.
Argh. What is it that I want
when the easy path has pot holes too.
So when I’m at this fork road street in the middle of
lonely desert plains how do I choose which path to take?
Racing through an endless maze of milky haze
in the twilight below the stars.
My destination is still unplanned
but may be I’ll arrive one day.
If only I knew the way.
I lost the map. I found some some keys
But what they open remains a mystery.
Have this wish I wish tonight.
You told me I could.
It seemed so simple in daylight.
Now in the shadows I can not see
Which are my dreams and what is reality.
Pass me a match so I may see my wishes.
Set them alight and motivate the sun.
Racing through an endless maze of milky haze
In the twilight below the stars.
I lost the map to the future, but found some keys
To the book of tomorrow I never knew I had.
Have this wish tonight, I hope I can.
I’ll write my way across the water
To a destination still unplanned.
This is how I’ll choose, with my heart until the end.
Author notes
um. yes. I was confused and a little frustrated. Just needed to write something.
Yay. Finished it: 20/9/08
But I'm still not sure about the last line. I don't know whether to just change it or to get rid of it entirely. Advice? :s

I like the last line. I think it ties in nicely. It flows well and sounds really nice. Best of luck.
