A Day I'll Never Forget

Seven years have past
and yet it still seems like yesterday
The world has changed by leaps and bounds
and yet it feels like you just went away

I can still remember every single detail
every word, moment and tear
So many things have changed through the years
but that moment....remains etched within my mind

The kids have grown
they still talk about you
I have moved on to a happier life
and I think of you each day

I know it was time to let you go
but still I have to say
I wish that I had you here to hug
each and every day

~Tisha Rene~

Author notes

I made the decision on this day in 2001 to turn my Mom's life support off after she had gone into a coma just 3 days earlier. 9/11, what a month.
