An angel in an attic, tucked
away for many holidays
still shines without a single bulb
to light up the festivities
Away for many holidays
where once she stood in windows bright
to light up the festivities
resplendent in her finery
Where once she stood in windows bright
along the well known Avenues
resplendent in her finery
her glitter and her curlicues
Along the well known Avenues
where carolers extolled her charms
her glitter and her curlicues
have been sequestered from our view
Where carolers extolled her charms
her virtues shine despite that they
have been sequestered from our view
for this is how an angel works
Her virtues shine despite that they
are not always in sight, displayed
for this is how an angel works
in quietude, in hidden ways
away for many holidays
still shines without a single bulb
to light up the festivities
Away for many holidays
where once she stood in windows bright
to light up the festivities
resplendent in her finery
Where once she stood in windows bright
along the well known Avenues
resplendent in her finery
her glitter and her curlicues
Along the well known Avenues
where carolers extolled her charms
her glitter and her curlicues
have been sequestered from our view
Where carolers extolled her charms
her virtues shine despite that they
have been sequestered from our view
for this is how an angel works
Her virtues shine despite that they
are not always in sight, displayed
for this is how an angel works
in quietude, in hidden ways

oh, I only saw your poem now !

I guess, maa has been sequestered by herself, unable to find this poetic jewel ...
I am speechless, are you sure you meant "maa" ? I can see the angel in lynda, but in myself ??? (looking for an angel hiding somewhere in her) ...
also, you know how little humility I have
, not sure I feel worthy for your last stanza ...

thank you so much for your love, I am really touched, my face is all red now, and my heart beats like crazy ... (aaand, my birdie is hopping around on my head and shoulders)
congratulations on this truly deserved gold trophy on your pantoum, I loooove pantoums !!! and this poem will go right away into my poetic treasure chest
much much love to you,
marion

Wow... you are such a polished and clever poet. You make me feel like a caveman making marks on a rock with a burnt stick. Bravo!
