No one knows the games we play although it is like hide and seek.
From my keyhole a dim light shines through the portal;
Stashed behind the closet door I see you sitting there
Are you hiding again from the boogieman or just from me?
Inevitably, you knew I would seek you out no matter where you go.
It would appear from your positioning you have been there awhile.
Legs must be tired from standing or have you simply given in?
Guess you were dressed as though you might be going out somewhere.
The black dress you wear, once pristine, appears wrinkled and torn
With red shoes that match the lipstick smudged upon your cracked lips.
As I opened the door, a blank stare is upon your weary face.
Yes, I have found you once again behind this closet door.
You and I have played this game so many times before
as it was you yesterday girl, now it's time to disappear
Waiting silently I come to feed you without a mirror.
Am I too late or are you pretending you have fallen asleep?
Time to wake up,give me your arm if you want me to fix it
It is time to fly as I hold your one way ticket
A needle that is full of dreams that make you soar
Another euphoria, lets face it, you need me more.

Woah. This is beautiful. The form worked well, the language and imagery was very well done. Best of luck in the contest; it deserves (at least!) the gold.
