"Lucky Penny,"
they call me.
Yeah, right.
I say--
You’re only lucky if you’re the one
doing the throwing,
Not the one at the bottom of the well.
As I look up,
through waters as thick as my aspirations;
one thought becomes impossible to dispel,
--and furthermore I feel I've been left here to rot--
your dreams have come true,
mine have not.
Please tell me what you think

Interesting. sounds as if you feel like your suffocating in life's games. This is what I got from the poem. I like it very much it was well written. Thank you for sharing.

wow..
this is so interesting
i love your take..
i think the penny represents something, metaphoric..
but even if not its still wonderful..
nice work -
This is really great. I absolutely love a good personification. I think inanimate objects only get a chance to live through our words, it is amazing.

Thank you so much. You are the first to respond to this poem, and I hope not the last. I'm kind of fond of it. I really enjoyed your work as well.
