Contest Concept (Not A Poem)

I have been thinking hard about a unique contest idea and that is quite a challenge - but I think I have come up with  something that fits the criteria.

Combining a haiku, a syllable structured 6 line verse, which together combines hopefully to look like a bottle with a stopper on top.

so you would have your haiku on top

5 syllables
7 syllables
5 syllables

then your 6 lines of verse in this format:

6 syllables
8 syllables
10 syllables
8 syllables
6 syllables
4 syllables

I was considering using the prompt "rain" and thus the title of the contest would be "bottle up the rain".

So really it is a blend of 3 styles, haiku, semi-free verse and shape poetry.
I think it should prove to be an interesting challenge that could look really pretty too.

A contest entry

Detailed critique welcome

    I love this idea!
Pretty form and with a theme of rain...
    Sounds awesome!
I believe this would make a great contest and I personally would still love to learn how to write a good Haiku cause I have never written one

    TY for entering!

right with you there cuz, I have never attempted a haiku as they are so steeped in tradition I fear making a meal of one would detract others from the form.
