My lover lead me by the hand across the green and growing land
And then she told me she would race me to the sea
I saw she giggled as she ran and quickly wriggled as she planned
To throw away the clothes she wore so she'd be free
You know she loves to misbehave and throw herself upon a wave
And I'm sure she wants the same from little me
So I thought I would be brave and throw away my manner grave
And then I'd join my perfect maid in nudity
When a mermaid's skinny dipping you've no hesitation stripping
So together in the sea is where you'll be
If you're sober or you're tripping you'll think watching her is gripping
Like a perfect line of rhyming poetry
Then she turns to me to kiss me and to promise she would miss me
If I ever went away where she'd want to flee
Now I wonder what can this be if she don't want to dismiss me
I am sure that this will be quite heavenly
We start running back for dinner, and I feel like a beginner
At this naked little dance she calls a spree
And though maybe I'm not thinner I am sure that I'm a winner
For she been a skinny dipping just with me!
