In the Right Light
If you feel all backs are turned
All hands are fists, all bridges burned
Maybe it is time to look at things
In the Right Light.
If the tunnel is caving in
No glow beyond, no hope within
There is one path that never dims
In the Right Light
I’m not saying things are going to be easy
I’m right beside you and I see that life is rough
What I’m telling you is, I will not leave you
I have seen what’s in your heart and that is proof enough.
If you feel that you’re not strong
The wind too cold, the road too long
There is warmth when you are standing
In the Right Light
If there’s a shadow ‘cross the sun
You want to be young, to have your fun
The load is lighter, the day is brighter
In the Right Light
I’m not saying that there won’t be stress and trouble
Maybe too much for a weaker man to stand
But there is strength and safety in numbers
You have the strongest Friend of all to guide your hand
When all is said and done
When you’ve struggled and you’ve won
I will see your smile reflected
In the Right Light
Yes, my love will shine much brighter
In the Right Light
...you will see how much I love you
In the Right Light.

Yes indeed my friend. We don't have control over what life throws at us, but we
DO have control over what our reactions to those actions will be and therein
lies our real power.

ok now this was really really good. If you could share a little info with me about it that would help me hear it when i read. Where's the chorus and breaks? The versus are perfect as they are. But I'm looking for a song not so much just lyrics alone...

I felt the chorus per se were the verses that begin with "I'm not saying". The rhythm of those is a bit different, more like older style musicals. "proof enough" and "guide your hand" would be drawn out/slowed more while singing. Obviously I hear a soprano solo vocalist doing this! I tried to punctuate where the pauses and breaks would be, and of course between verses. Although I have played and sung in musicals/musical comedy in my life I am not much of a composer. What else would you like to know. Thank you so much for the compliment.

ok, I got it now thanks.. I kinda figured that's how it would go but i wanted to make sure before assuming you meant this or that. But really thanks again your entry is greatly appreciated.

wow, this is amazing !
I love the refrain "in the right light" ...
these words have the power to bring us back home ...
to center us right within our hearts ...
and also to look at things in a detached manner ...
if this were a song, it would be number one in the hitparade !
