They push me around
in my metaphysical wheelchair
and say 'Why aren't you sad?'
My soul it's crippled
from the heart down
It doesn't matter though
my physical body is fine
my mind is still here
it feels lighter then it did before
when it was weighed down
by heart beats and sleep
I got caught up in society
where we overfeed our bodies
with sustenance and sex
and we starve our souls
until it's only nutrient
feeds millions of others
with remote controls and video tape
and we cannibalize our emotions
but it all tastes the same
They push me around
in my metaphysical wheelchair
and say 'Why aren't you sad?'
My soul it's crippled
from the heart down
it feels lighter then it did before
when it was weighed down
by heart beats and sleep
