Animal Cell Poem - this is for school

I am part of a cell,
Protecting and directing.
Certain things I have to expel
But others can keep connecting.

I am like a traffic light,
With only green and red.
I have to make sure they are all right
To keep my home from being dead.
(Cell Membrane)

I am the boss.
I control all the goings on in the cell.
I have to make sure nothing is lost,
And make sure my little "business" doesn't go to hell.
(Nucleus)

I am like a vending machine.
I can be dependent or free,
And I contain a lot of protein.

Most people usually agree.

(Ribosome)

My job is to be the grocery store.

I have to modify, sort and package.

I never have time to explore

Nor do I have time to redo it all.

(Golgi Apparatus)

If the energy that's here

Doesn't really work out,

I have to change it to keep my career.

I can't have any doubt.

(Mitochondria)

This part of the cell is my house.

I hang out here and assemble lipids.

Making sure to keep out that mouse

While sometimes having to modify the protein.

(Endoplasmic Reticulum)

It's very crowded in this place.

It's always filled with enzymes.

There is hardly any space!

But it helps break down certain things.

(Lysosome)

This is just an extra place

But it's used for everything.

At times it's quite a disgrace.

But the water, salts, proteins and carbs just seem to cling.

(Vacuole)

As you can see

There are so many things.

But I'd have to agree

That it all needs to be here,

Especially the king.

How do you like it? Let me know if there's anything to fix!
