addiction

her days of being the bell of the ball
have ended quite abrupt
the days gone by all erased
every traces of her once presences

she has no statue among them now
reduced to yesterdays girl
she existed only now in memories
and faded photographs

her mind now shot from all the drugs
the consequences of that life
living on the edge, a party girl
a plastic imitation

    Great ending!
You have penned dark imagery clearly in this and it is stunning to read

    So sad this write

So often while growing up so many want to be in the in crowd to be popular and will do anything to get there yet they fail to do one thing .They fail to be themselves and in the change they become lost and often adicted to drugs that were the crave of the day . Remember all adictions can be reversed but it takes a powerful will and the will to live again to turn it around .All the visions seen on the path of getting to that point gave the illusion that its the place to be to enjoy life only to find its a cold lonely place and the soul within becomes lost for the drugs takes over ever thought within . Stay away from the drugs and know that child is still within you and those about you trying to help you are the ones who loves you most take their hand and find life is there before you to bring joy and happiness back again for a true friend would have never asked you to take drugs a true friend would do anything to keep you free from it
