I am broken
ashamed
angry
hopeful
hurting
longing...
all for my wife.
I miss you.
I wonder if I met you recently.
Only time will tell.
I love you.
But I'd much rather stammer it across hesitent tongue
speak it from upon bended knee
proclaim it in front of family and friends
whisper it into your sleeping ear
And carve it upon your coffin when that day comes
And when the gravediggers come to bury you
They will not wonder why an old man refuses to leave
For everyone knows why
He is still in love...
...unable to escape both the choice and the emotion
I am he and I miss you as the old man misses his departed beloved
Desperately
Fearfully
Passionately
Tearfully
May I seek to be who you seek
And waste no more time with the world
I love you.
And will always love you
Even if we should never meet.

A very powerful and heart felt piece. Such a sad situation when we are longing for a love in our lives.
It will come..
Congratulations on the Silver.
Soulful Woman

My favorite part is the stanza following "I love you." The timing and the flow made it very powerful and provided a strong hold on my attention.
It nearly broke my heart. I am on verge of tears.
Well done, friend. This work fills me so that I don't even have room for jealousy at your skill.
