sister katharine stands
in the baptismal font,
nude,
glistening.
water swallows her calves
like silk stockings,
a second skin.
god's watercolors wash her body
in heavenly hues--
a stained-glass mary
gives birth to baby jesus
on katharine's breasts
and she sighs in ecstasy
at her only religious experience.
Author notes
I'm not pleased with this; it has no flow and I don't like my word choice. But I like the picture and I like my concept so I'll come back to this later.

Don't You Dare Touch This Poem
How could you not like this poem? The image is clear in my mind a woman Katharine standing in a baptizmal font she seeks absolution for her sin. Water to cleans her body and soul she washes and the water glistens on her body making her more beautiful more of a desier because she understands her weak fraility.
"Water swallows her calves like silk stockings" the water is smooth and clings to her skin and acsentuates her shape like silk stockings that hug and acsentuate the womans legs. "god's water colors wash her body" I see the drops of water dangel from her arms, run down her legs, dripping off her breast and the sunlight catching the drops and the light fractures to rainbows looking like water colors, then a child nuzeled at a womans breast mother and child bonding." She sighs in ecstasy at her only religious experiance." She knows she is mortal but yet can not help feel like a goddes who can bring new life to an old world so men can bear witness to the commings of new tomarrows. Great write please do not change this, I don't see anything wrong with the flow and yes the image you used for this write was very beautiful.
