This Writer's Inspirations

Caress of feathered moonlight
upon my upturned face.
Starlight twinkling brightly,
in blackened blue-hued skies.
Your kisses taste of mint;
your hand is soft in mine.
The trees are swaying softly
in an oceanic worthy breeze.

Bats are singing just like birds,
while we lie below this vastness.
Vastness of the universe:
nebulae twirling above.
Magic seems to create our world.
Is there a better explanation?
God must be some sort of magic,
because no mere being would have
the capacity for such beauty.
So at least I've come to believe.

Broken thought processes

by the sweetest of all moments.

Your lips gently swaying on mine

and the world seems to stop.

Eyes closed to see to your soul-

this I have accomplished.

Reality is simply tentative,

this moment is so surreal.

Perfect captured in this moment.

Changing trains of thought:

learn to expect no less.

How can true inspiration be siphoned

from sedentary mind process?

A giant tree on a great old hill.
Remember the one from the show?
Winnie the Pooh it was, I promise.
Maybe if we go exploring-
and find just the right spot-
we'll meet up with Christopher Robin.
Just like I'd always planned.

An ocean cliff overlooking the horizon.
A muted sunset in the waters.
Bonfire below is dancing:
tip-toeing out onto the waters.
Lighting up the night sky
with it's unending display.
The clouds are black like ash,
and then we remember.

The rushing of adrenaline-

as we are standing on this outlook.

Wind rushing aside my stiffened body;

noiseless in all its deafening roar.

Out unto these deepest oceans;

a midnight shaded twinkling.

Staring straight down into oblivion.

Seeing nothing yet knowing all.

Treading water for staying afloat:

not bothering to reach for a threshold.

Swimming downward searching for light-

a life sustaining light somewhere.

Thrust back into reality we are.
My tentative fantasy vanished.

The silken thread of thoughts,

banished to somewhere.

Deep in the back of my mind.

These things I seek reside within me.

My interpretation of beauty and magic:

my unending devotions and love.
Also known henceforth as

this writer's inspirations.

Author notes

The title says it all. These are the things I find most beautiful and amazing. These are my inspirations. I know this seems really random, but it's supposed to be like that. It really is. Because I was talking about my own inspirations I decided to write it the way my mind functions. All of these things inspire me, make me happy, and are just my favorite moments in the world.

Enjoy. I really think this is one of my personal favorites I have written. It was a lot of fun to write and it just got me thinking about the best things and life rather than all my stress. I really needed that. I hope you can see that too.

This wasn't really supposed to be something that made a ton of sense, but I hope it does. I want you to be able to see what I think and the way my mind works.

Once again, enjoy. I hope I did well.

I have to comment on your author note, thie title did speak for itself, and this poem wasn't quite random. You focused on the points you meant to mention, such as writing with imagery and "feel" words.
Enjoy was the theme, I wanted to do just that...bring out the joy in people.
    Thank you for entering.
