She came to him with questions,
and tears filling her eyes.
She said, “I want an answer,
I don’t want you to lie.”
He composed himself and waited,
as she tried to find the words;
when she finally spoke again,
this is what he heard.
“Why do you have so much faith in me,
when I still don’t know which way to go?”
He replied,
“Because I need you in my life,
I can’t go back to where I’ve been.
I know there’s pain, but if I had the chance,
I would do it all over again.”
He came to God with questions,
tears rolling down his face.
He asked Him, “What have I done,
to deserve your awesome grace?”
He stopped and listened for a while,
it seemed like hours passed.
It felt like God was in the room,
so he figured he would ask.
“Why do you have so much faith in me,
when I still don’t know which way to go?”
And God said,
“Because it was for you I bled,
I died for your every sin.
I know I’m a King, but if I had the chance,
I would do it all over again.”
and tears filling her eyes.

Author notes
This is a piece showcasing two kinds of love. First, love between a man and a woman; and second, love between God and his children. Even though there will always be a little pain mixed in with even the strongest love, it is always worth it to love.

Wow
I'll be honest in saying I'm not a religious person, but this touched my heart.
I don't think I've ever read a religious piece of writing and had it stand out like this to me.
Another boundary your broke: I don't like rhyming poetry. But this flows so well and fits together like a jigsaw puzzle; it's beautiful.
I'm so glad I stumbled across this!

Ok. I like this one. There is another poet on here...
A die hard Christian. Or so she believes.
Anyway, tehre is a stark contrast in what you say and what she does.
This is amazing. -

Excellent!
Yet, again- you wrote a excellent piece! The poem itself made 100% clarity and it was beautiful!

Yes! Oh I love this one. Both kinds of love are hard to grasp and all, though I admit that the second one is the one that none will ever understand. I mean, who can grasp a King dying for someone elses mess up? Well done, I really enjoyed this work.
