White Dragon Introduction-Flamesdragoness

                                                                                                         Mt.Rainier, Washington State

For fifty-three centuries
I have roamed and soared
scenting the earth.

My Paradise home

is snow capped dome.
Ice caverns of frosted

crystallized thrones.

Feasting upon ancient stalagmite energies.
My treasures abound............

Priceless gems and mystical gifts.
(including Merlins wand not that I am too modest to brag)

Miles upon miles of under-ground caverns,
Un-explored or chartered
are my escape doors.

Peer into my eyes,
Feel the fire of my soul
If I like what I see..I may keep thee…
Frozen forever as one of my trinkets.

Dare to bring harm
Against realm of dragon
My motherly wrath will devour beast or man.

For fifty-three centuries
I have roamed and soared
Scenting the earth…….

Awakened abruptly
In this twenty first century
Of mans calendar…..
I hear mighty winds
Of Change and Re-Discovery

Perhaps
Mankind has finally learnt
How to battle and honor
Wisely…

WE shall see and listen boldly.

Like this. Love the northwest. When I hitch-hiked to college my freshman year, (I went to Reed) I knew that Thomas Mann was correct. He states in "Look Homeward Angel" that there is a place that speaks to the heart somewhere in this world for every person. Portland Ore. is that for me. I love Hood, Rainier and the whole chain. This poem sang to me. I know the dragons in the deep and the fire that wraps and leaps when they are released
    Love, Tom B.

    cascading snowflakes of Ice

A dragon with power of word and a virtuous essence.
Wouldst be a powerful ally and a most formidable enemy.
Yet blessed with the alchemistical wand of Merlin.
My reverence, matriarchal dragon of snow.

The picture being the first thing we see, we can't help but appreciate this poem as an evocatively successful picture prompt. You convey a strong sense of mystery through the combination of time and space expanses (Miles upon miles...unexplored or chartered...fifty-three centuries...)

Again you have a nice message about the purity of Mankind's heart, contrasting such 'frozen trinkets' to the fearless fire of a dragon's soul.

    Nicely penned,

    Mordegast

    Sum total of elements

image, font color, background color and the poem itself all a feast. You spoke well in the voice of this creature. Finally, I see and feel the flaw, emotion and the wisdom of this magnificent creature.

    Wonderful images and Imagery!

Very significant and inspired statements and rhythmic poetry! I don't know, however, that we should let our dragons out in this century, though! They can be better controlled and feared in the dark centuries of the past! Great work and fine poetry, dear Dragoness!

Hey that was my wand you snuck away with and I hope you're intending to pass it back over at some stage!

Bet it helped you write this, from what I can see, you'd better make good use of it while your time allows.
